C18150 Chromium zirconium copper
CuCrZr, C18150. High strength and heat resistant coppers. Welding electrodes and holders, high duty contacts, parts that see heat and load together.

How it machines
Age hardened and abrasive in the TH04 temper. Machine soft at TB00 and age afterwards for an easier cut, or machine hardened for final dimensions. Say which dimensions must survive heat treatment.
Watch out. Holds strength at higher temperature than C18200. Both are Class 2 and are frequently substituted for one another, so say which one you need.

When not to specify it
Frequently substituted for C18200 and vice versa. If the higher temperature performance matters, name C18150 explicitly and say no substitution.

Replace the bracket with the ASTM specification for your product form. The RFQ builder does this for you and adds edge, finish and plating lines.

Other high strength and heat resistant coppers
Age hardened alloys chosen for strength, hardness or hot performance. Conductivity drops, sometimes a long way, and none of them machine quickly.
